Sometimes I think being a parent is more agonizing than actually living through childhood and the whole "teen years" was.

My son is a May baby (in Chinese signs he's a Metal Dragon) and it's been up and down (think major roller coaster ride) this year for him. Not through bad choices or actions of his own that I can tell, but just circumstances, miscommunications, unforeseen obstacles, and at times, some other peoples choices (like a project partner told him their teacher changed the due date for a project when she hadn't). Moving forward has not been easy this year, but we're getting there.
