Card of the Day: The High Priestess [View all]

Last edited Wed Nov 13, 2013, 04:01 PM - Edit history (1)

Hello everybody, I thought that we could all do a Tarot card of the day here. I will travel the internet and find a picture of a card, probably the Rider-Wait deck, post it here and then we could all talk about what it means to each other. Here is today's' card:

Here is the High Priestess, a card that my friends and I joking call the High Beastess! She sits with a crown upon her head with the symbols of the moon. She has a solar cross on her chest and a crescent moon at her feet. She hold a partially unrolled scroll that has the word Tora (means Divine Law) written on it. This is also partially veiled. She sits between a black pole named Boaz and a white pole named Jakin. Behind her are pomegranates and palm trees. Hers is the number 2 in the Upper Arcana.

To me, this card represents a balance of the conscious and unconscious. It is having the mysteries reveled, but some remains hidden.

I'm looking forward to see what some of you have to say.
