Maybe I learned something today, or received a very strong reminder.

I had to go to the town south of me today to pay a fine. I had a speeding ticket. There is no question I was speeding, and deserved the ticket. I ran into the state's attorney there, who is a friend, also my personal lawyer, and a good Democrat. He teased me, but told me to be careful. I have been.

That was not the only reminder I got. I was just behind an unpleasant car accident with injuries, on the way home. I was the one who had to call 911, and I was the only witness. I had to stay there for awhile.

We are going to be doing a lot of traveling this weekend, for my daughter's wedding. We will need to be extra careful. I just feel it.

Traffic accidents have been on my mind a lot lately. I was the one who posted about the angel priest, too. Or, maybe I am overly sensitive these days, with all the changes in my life. My 16-year-old cat may be dying, too. That may not seem like a big deal to some people, but she is a member of the family. We are all sad.
