2. that's been pretty much my experience with job interviews...

back in the 90s, every interview I had that went perfectly, I was rejected. Once accused of lying and making up my portfolio.

Then I had the interview where I had an appointment earlier on the other side of town. Got stuck in traffic, was a half our late to the interview, so I figured it was over before it started. I spent the interview, with hiring manager and her boss, joking around and laughing at my own jokes. Laughed too hard at one point and watched in horror when a bit of spit went flying past the big boss's face No chance that he missed it. I saw his eyes dart in the direction of the spit and the straight ahead Worst job interview of my life. Got the best job I ever had, contracting for double (and eventually triple) what I'd made as a direct employee there at my prior peak Sigh. Those were the days...
