and minimum wage was a living wage. There also were very few homeless. In the sixties we had racial, gender and gay inequality in huge quantities, not to mention that war you mentioned that nobody supported. So we were out in the streets either protesting or tuning in, turning on and dropping out in Timothy O'Leary's words.

You brought a smile to my face remembering. Yes, today we certainly have stepped through the looking glass into an opposite reality yet it feels familiar.
