Low magick is also known as sympathetic magick- Things such as simple spells, candle magick - The focus being that an object can be in sympathy with the focus of the spell and therefore cause a transference of energy.

Higher Magick is all about the ritual- It is the building of spiritual energy through ritual. It's also often referred to as Ceremonial Magick.
