What does "Jesus died for our sins" mean? [View all]

Does it mean, we are absolved for our sins up to that point in history? (Would that include the original sin in Garden Eden?)

Or are we also absolved from our future sins?

If we are absolved for our sins, why do we still go to hell for our sins?
