They review all the cards, airline programs, etc. A lot of this depends on which airlines you generally use. You probably want a card that eliminates charges for checked bags. I have an AA branded Citi MC in part because I am AA Platinum. My friend has a high end Chase card that includes Priority Pass access to lounges around the world.

Note: The AA MC is $99 per year, but you get a $120 travel voucher each year. Almost free.
