is a, long, slow ride from mainland Florida. Takes 3 or 4 hours barring an accident. Only one road, 2 lanes mostly. Getting back is the same. Accommodations are very expensive. Think $100 per night for a campsite 15 years ago. St Augustine is about 9 hours drive from the Everglades of South Florida. I'd stick to Georgia sites to not be constantly on the go and to enjoy your trip. Enjoy the journey!
