expedia, orbitz or Travelocity. Which is better for travel plans, [View all]

such as air+hotel? I have been dealing with expedia for room+air for 6 nights in Brussels. I've seen some pretty good deals.

How far in advance do you have to commit in order to get a really good deal?

Which one has the best track record in securing your hotel reservation and air tix?

Which one has the best cancellation policy?

I'm hoping to travel in early October but I don't want to to book TOO far in advance. You never know...
