New women's professional soccer league announced, with eight U.S. teams [View all]

"U.S. Soccer has announced a new women's league in the United States.

Eight cities or regions will be part of the league's start: Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, New Jersey, Portland, Seattle, western New York state and Washington, D.C.

The league is set to start in March or April next year.

The Canadian and Mexican soccer federations are on board for the league, looking to use the league to develop its talent.

FYI... It's good to see teams in Seattle, Portland, and Kansas City. I'm not sure why they would put a team in Boston, however.
