Heading out deer hunting in Uvalde, Texas, Friday! [View all]

The 200-acre tract fronts State 55 along the Nueces River. Even with the drought, deer are reported to be plentiful. Temps will be in mid-50s throughout Christmas weekend, sunny, with low-moderate winds out of the north. Should be loads of fun. Hoping to see an exotic (like an axis deer), but will be out after whitetails, too. I can post up under a tree or still-hunt. The place is great for both hunting styles!
