Amazon Prime membership now offers free games to keep

2. I have a prime membership but have not played video games in 30 years

I understand that the Prime is attached to Twitch in some fashion (whatever that is). I would like to give this a try. Do I need to get a game controller and how does it talk with Prime? Any resources suggestions would be appreciated. Can't say what I would like in gaming. I very much enjoyed the games Star Castle and a game where geometric shapes floated across the screen that you had to avoid (can't think of its name). If you were hit by one of the shapes you craft was destroyed by what looked like electricity.
