Luckily for the loon, the USdoesn't have standards like that.

The main issue is that on the front corners, the sheet metal comes to a shrp edge that would impail a person if the vehicle struck them.

The most likely place for a vehicle to strike a person is on it's from corner or front grill. That's exactly where the sharp edges are. And by sharp, I saw a youtube demo where they were able to slice fruit on it.

The front safety issue is at the 6:30 mark, more or less.
