1. I'm using yWriter. It's free. It doesn't "guide" your story by recommending certain elements.

It just organizes scenes and ideas. It's handy dandy. Written by a programmer/writer.

Using it now for a novel and a non-fiction book. I'm not interested in software that offers suggestions. I write for fun, and that would take the fun out of writing.
