...that same week a crab boat turned turtle crossing the bar off the Oregon coast and three men died. Statistics show that fishing for a living is nine times as dangerous as being a cop or firefighter. I haven't read a single detail about the lives or careers of any of those men. No stories about how they risk death daily to bring you sushi. Won't be no parade of boats escorting caskets while tearful citizens salute... And maybe that's part of the problems in America-a lack of respect and empathy for common working men and women.
