static major. Unlike science which changed constantly, History never changed so once you went to school, you could stop studying it and sit back and just teach the same thing every year. In science, if you did not keep up with your learning, you'd still be teaching about the 17 elements, the flat earth and the hundreds of stars in the universe.

Now History is like Science. You have to keep up with it every minute or you'll be teaching obsolete information to the maggots.
