3. A quick search of Amazon and online bookstores show a most-recent edition date of 1992.

My search was admittedly quick, but if that's the most-recent printing, that would mean it's been out of print for 32 years. If you're expecting the publisher to refund 32-year-old purchases, you are almost certainly going to be disappointed.
