26. Another week, and another book in Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Tales.

This one is number 12 — Sword of Kings. The series has gone from 866 to 924, and the death of King Edward the Elder. One more book to go after this one.

I also bought the boxed set of 16 DVDs of the BBC series the Last Kingdom based on the books. Interesting to hear the pronunciation of names and places I’ve been reading about since July. I’ve watched three episodes so far, and find myself saying, “That didn’t happen.”
“That’s not what Bebbanburg looked like.”
“Uhtred is blond!”
Still, it’s interesting, and I’m enjoying it.
