whether it was in my Active Duty days, or working with the DoD, or working at the Halfway House. I never made a lot of money, and now its really showing its face as I worry from month to month... but I got a lot of fulfillment serving others than I could with the money I could have earned. Besides, when I started out on my career, that "good" money didn't come to most people of my kind... women. We were always hired in at the lower pay scales; especially when it was the beginning on the information age, and most of the positions were filled by men. But as more and more women got hired and proved they were every bit as good in this age as men, the entire pay scale went down for everyone!

And all anyone had to say was "so and so" was bought out by XYZ Hedge Fund, and I knew there'd soon be a bankruptcy of the company. Hedge Funds and Private Equity entities should have been outlawed for how they handled their businesses, and stole from the companies AND from US!, IMO.
