not having a 3 inch steel, blast proof door set in a hardened steel frame is just asking to have your house broken into.

But, based upon some of the comments in this forum, I would guess than if the door was like that and the bad guy broke his leg (and the homeowner had a gun), the complaint would be "doorers" have no respect for human limbs.
