It does seem whe did quite well with her sword training. But her move was first for a gun? She went for a SD weapon when she clearly was NOT trained in its useage. Why?

Was it because she could not be assured the assailant was armed, and her sword training, though a good thing, wouldn't be good enough?

I'm glad she came through this alright, but if she doesn't really know how to store a gun or know how to use it in a crisis, then perhaps she get rid of it.
