about Roseburg. His daughter was one that was shot. He said the "Rednecks" in south of the county are more unreasonable (paraphrasing). He has lots of guns. He said he gave his two son-in-laws semi auto pistols. He said it's a way of life there, huh? The interviewer said so it would be hard to live without this way of life and the guy agreed. I don't understand what that is all about and I live an hour and one half away from there. He needs lots of guns. He has lots of guns. He gave semi auto guns to his son in laws, for what purpose I would really like to know but the interviewer did not ask. To protect themselves in Douglas County or do target shooting or as many think to stand against the government when they come to get their guns. The man said he didn't think that would happen because they have too many guns, huh? Not that he did not think they would take them away but that he said they couldn't take them all. It's an attitude that is scary. He said he would have a gun on his shoulder if he were shooting a deer, that's reasonable and they were in the forest. But then he said the other things that wiped out in my mind a reasonable thought. Why do people have to have lots of guns. Why semi or auto guns? What is the purpose? To kill a deer? There is a guy who lives here who has three huge gun safes in his garage and leaves his gun with a scope by his bed loaded, he has a hand gun under his pillow loaded. He said to his wife that when the government falls he has a list of who he will kill. OMG....I dunno. Having a gun to hunt with or two I don't care. Having a gun for protection (if you are trained and know how to use it) in a crime ridden area okay, but not me. But to have lots of guns, AR 15's, AK 47's what is the purpose of those and semi automatic weapons. They are for killing. Guns are for killing. You can say they are to target shoot or for protection but they are for killing or harming. Universal Background Checks should have happened all along. Yes there will be still killings but it's reasonable to be checked when purchasing something that is made for killing. Please don't shoot just an opinion.
