I rarely if ever agree with Clarence Thomas. I don't like the man.

But I will say that the libel laws are messed up and I would entertaining having the pendulum swing a little the other way.

People are somewhat accountable for what they do with their money - like campaign contributions, how they vote - it must be legal, etc.

Words can be very hurtful things - including to candidates or public figures. It's a delicate balance but a little more accountability there is worthy of consideration in my opinion. Too much damage is allowed unchecked.
