1. One glaring contradiction here, tho:

"Others contend changing the system will improve public safety by preventing those charged with violent crimes who have access to cash from paying their way out. "

If the issue is public safety, as stated, you simply keep those "charged with violent crimes" locked up.No way should bail be allowed in the first place.

Those new laws are gonna really show the underlying reason of bail, which is to discriminate.
