6. I was playing poker in Camp Ellis, Maine one evening, with old friends.

In conversation I mentioned that I had an antique shop.
One of the players mentioned that he had some old guns and swords he'd like me to look at.
We went to the attic and pulled out two rifles and two swords.
I am not an arms expert, but I did notice carved into the gun stock of the musket, the date April 19 1775.

I asked if he knew the significance of the date and he said no. I told him that it was the date when the shot heard round the world was fired.

I told him to take the rifle to Skinners to authenticate.

Don't know if he did, but it was cool to hold a musket that may have been used at Lexington or Concord.
