A vandal has struck Plymouth Rock but the spray-painted mess was quickly cleaned up.

The criminal, who has not been caught, spray-painted the word 'LIES' on the chunk of rock on Monday night.

Plymouth Rock is engraved with '1620' to mark the Pilgrims' arrival in the New World.
