so I can see what I'm doing. I know the prongs are different sizes. The newer plugs in the house have the 2 sizes. The contractors put the plugs in the bathrooms that shut off if they get wet.

Thanks for the information about aging. Kind of like batteries, that they work because of a chemical process, and even if you aren't using the device, the process continues.
