That sounds really yummy, Cher!

Tonight I'm trying something new. Though I found a recipe for it, I am making it up as I go.

Philly cheesesteak casserole!

I sliced a long loaf of Italian bread lengthwise and then in half into a baking pan, drizzled it with Colavita extra virgin olive oil.

Then added my cooked in my skillet minced steak slices evenly on top.

In a separate dish combined one brick of softened Philadelphia cream cheese and one half cup of mozzarella cheese heated slightly in the microwave and mixed together while warm.

Evenly cover the bread with the meat mixture, then add the cheese mixture.

The next layer is sliced onions and peppers that were sautéed in one of my cast iron skillets.

The last of the shredded cheese sprinkled over the top of the onions and peppers.

Then in the oven at 350° for 45" checking at thirty.

It's in there now. I hope it tastes as good as it smells.

Whole milk over ice and ice water as beverages.

And either lemon shortbread cookies or a triple chocolate muffin later.

Bon Appétit, everyone! 🍽
