4. Making split pea and ham soup

Got the meaty ham hock from Easter out of the freezer yesterday. I’ve never made it before so am using this recipe:

Edit: The soup turned out nicely! It needs some extra salt in each bowl but that’s ok. I was afraid to add too much to the pot in case the ham made it salty.
