Need some advce from all you cooks. [View all]

I have a package of a dozen uncooked meatballs. Got them earlier this year and froze them. I want to use 6 of them today so I took them out of the freezer, but of course could not break them apart as they were all frozen together. I have defrosted them enough that I was able to split the pack in the middle giving me the 6 I will use today, and 6 not to be used today.

My question; can I put the 6 I'm not going to use today back in the freezer? They did not defrost through, just enough that I could split the package up into 2 packs.

Thanks for your help.
