Who's making Christmas cookies? [View all]

I got off to a late start, but am almost done with the cookies I mail out. Except for the pizzelles, they’re not really very Christmasy this year —chocolate chip, oatmeal, that sort of thing.

An issue I often have is that my room temperature is only around 60 degrees, which means that the butter mixture stays a clumpy greasy mess rather than being all nice and emulsified and fluffy. I sometimes have to rest the mixing bowl over hot water to bring it up to temperature.
