My kids love it. I make it as a gift for the holidays, because it takes time. One of my kids took it to work and her co-worker thought it was the best tofu jerky he'd ever had. I marinate the tofu slices overnight, and then dry them in the oven for hours. The longer it takes to dry, the better the texture. I should get a dehydrator or borrow one.
I wonder if you had tried making your own tofu bacon? I saw recipes just now when I looked. Maybe if you combined the long marinade and long drying process, you'd get something you like?
