banana nut bread at Aldi. They used to have a banana bread better than I could make myself. Then they changed it. B-O-R-I-N-G. Never touched it again.

From listening to the RG on the phone in business talks, I know the big chains often change around suppliers, hoping to find a bigger profit on a particular item. It's a good thing there are only a few high-end pastas, so it doesn't affect him much. Ignorance about olive oil, however, is another story.

This morning I used my greens (radish and turnip greens, Swiss chard) to make sauteed greens, tofu, and garlic over Taiwanese scallion pancake. I made soy sauce/hot sweet pepper jelly sauce to go with it. I would do this again, especially the part about the tofu getting crispy in sesame oil. I still need to up my game a bit on when that pancake is puffy. Sometimes they are a bit doughy inside, even with sauteeing in a pan and finishing off under the broiler. On the whole, though, a terrific breakfast that will take me through evening.
