four or five times a year. Turkey Run Indiana State Park is approximately 30 miles from home, so it's not too far.

Little did we know, but they were having a Christian Women's Retreat starting on Friday. The Inn (because of this weekend retreat) they were only offering a buffet. Our waitress told us the State has limited the cooking staff to save money. We all had our hearts set to ordering a delicious cod meal. Instead we over ate at the buffet. Salad bar had everything you could possibly want and the food bar was good too. They had baked tilapia and I passed on that. Fried chicken was good and cheesy garlic mashed potatoes was delicious. The beef and noodles were very tasty. But those deep fried dinner rolls and warm apple butter I could have made a meal of them (almost did).

After we all had our full, we went into the lodge and sat in front of the warm fireplace (under the huge wooden canoe hanging from the ceiling) and talked for half hour or so before driving home.
