a few thoughts, if I may [View all]

1- It's so important to get effective treatment. You have the ABSOLUTE RIGHT, whether your treatment is free or costs an arm and a leg, to get effective treatment. That includes your medication and all therapies (individual, couples, family, etc).

2- Your doctor/nurse practitioner/PA/whoever prescribes your meds needs to take time to listen to you! If you have questions about your meds or side effects, please ask. Sometimes the info on the net is wrong and/or confusing.

3- My entire point is to minimize your suffering. Yes, mental illness/psych stuff sucks but it doesn't have to suck excessively. What's "excessive suffering" ? That's a good question to discuss with your doctor and/or therapist. Sometimes, sadly, everything that can be done is being done and one must cope as well as humanly possible.

Anyway... I hope I helped ONE person today. I know most of us already know what I said, but lurkers sometimes don't.

Have a wonderful day.
