(I know you said you didn't need any responses. I just felt moved to add something in the same vein of thought.)

The brain is the organ through which you perceive reality. When there is disorder in the brain, when the brain is sick, it changes how you perceive reality. The brain can malfunction to the point that it creates a totally different "reality" that seems every bit as real as the ordinary reality, the real one, that most people experience. That is just outside of the realm of understanding for most people. The only people who truly know how it feels are those afflicted with brain disorders. It's a real mindfuck.
