V.A. intern called to address issues raised in my annual V.A. physical [View all]

Her: "Your physician reported you are depressed would you like to see a psychiatrist?"

Me: "No. The psychiatrist and psychologist previously assigned to me have determined that I cannot be helped"

Her: Silence

Me: "Thanks for your concern. Sometimes things just can't work out. Bye..."

Her: "Thank-you for your service!"

Oh, why do we do play this game? It's all about making me feeling good about my service 40+ years ago? Can the system possibly be further off the mark?
