Arguing with SO over tmj treatment [View all]
Its very expensive. Like massively expensive. We got a 2nd opinion. My SO sat in bc I wanted another set of ears. This guy was more expensive than my primary. I'm looking for someone to comfort all my fears and concerns. My SO remembers the 2nd opinion saying keep wearing the chewing splint for 9 months.
When I try to talk about my concern, he goes nuts and talks about the price "cleaning him out" financially. He seemed onboard in the past with my treatment. Now he just gets angry like I'm expecting money. He did pay 7k for the splints.
Nothing I say will stop him now from going ballistic. I mentioned selling a bit of stock, and he went nuts about being taxed on it. If he wasnt paying the bills, and I had more money coming in, Id leave.
He smokes and drinks and looks awful half the time. I'm sick of it, but stuck.ETA MY STOCK. Just spoke to him again about needing comfort. He says its my decision. Which it is. Its just crushing. He says thr restorative dental work may not even work. Just keep wearing the splint. I don't know what to do
