My nature is to "help" and I struggle w/boundaries and co-dependency issues, especially w/family members, and what part I play in setting up my own disasters with relationships at the request or under the control of "others" who don't seem to ever worry about the consequences down the road versus "right now" because me, the helper, is always around. It's not always clear who needs to clean up their own messes and beliefs about who and what they are. I'm also of an age now where my dreams no longer matter?

Good thing I try to practice gratitude for that which is still good -- food, shelter, relative good health, a nearby family, things that bring joy, a safe time and place to cry, and a working computer and phone with which to communicate with friends, some of whom I've never met.

Happy Thanksgiving, irisblue, and all others at DU! I wish you all blessings of abundance as you celebrate this national holiday.
