important to focus as much as possible on what we can be grateful for, rather than situations that upset us and are outside our control.

With the political theme of this forum, we're inevitably focused a lot on situtaions we can't control, or might be able to control only with a massive and/or long-term effort.

But we need to balance that focus, and frustration, with as much focus as possible on the things we can be grateful for, whether the bigger things or what's enjoyable as a distraction (funny tweets and cartoons, for instance, or music, or cat memes, or whatever helps).
