(4,124 posts)22. I lost my mom when I was sixteen.
My brothers and I all went through the same emotions you are feeling. She died of cancer--at home, with just us kids and her mom and my dad there to help her (and my dad was pretty useless). For over a year she was mostly bedridden and in increasing pain.
We all wanted her out of pain, but didn't want to lose her. It was torturous.
Be kind to yourself. There is nothing easy about your situation...or hers. Take care.
