6. I screw up IT stuff all the time.

And when it happens I tend to blame myself, only to find out later, sometimes, that it was the system that was messing up.

It's especially embarrassing at work. I'm fortunate in that I have colleagues and IT support who are supportive and affirming.

Even so, I often feel stupid when confronted with some IT issue--including working the whistles and bells on my phone.

I also find when i confess my digital cluelessness, and even exaggerate it some, I often get a sympathetic response. A little humorous self-deprecation can go a long way.
