and I'm still experiencing fatigue and brain fog. OTOH I'm 76 and this all might be just what happens to old folks. It did take me a long time to get over a debilitating fatigue, where I was sleeping just about all day long--4 hour naps in the morning and afternoon--and I haven't regained all the weight I lost (still down 10 lbs), which I'm not really complaining about but the doctor doesn't like it.

Here is something strange I've experienced: Covid (and I just about died from it) made me somehow nicer. I'm not so snarky in daily life, I seem to have greater patience with people who fuck up, and I'm more compassionate, even toward people on tv. This is not a sign of aging afaik.

It sounds like you're getting better. Be patient; it's a horrible disease, and we survived it. That alone is cause for rejoicing.
