This of course is anecdotal, but both my spouse and I were severely poisoned by chronic exposures to pesticides in an adjoining building in 1991-92 and developed severe health problems. Over the years we were able to heal to a degree, but found ourselves getting neurological symptoms everytime we were exposed to pesticides, perfumes (contain petrochemical solvents like toluene), and other neurotoxicants.

Symptoms include cardiac arrhythmias (will both get them at the same time during exposures), headache, joint pain, difficulty concentrating, dizziness, and even seizures (me only).

I was treated for a month at the Dallas Environmental Clinic under the care of Dr. William Rae who is a world class expert on toxic injury. He said that my best strategy is to avoid neurotoxicants at every opportunity.

That of cours is very difficult. While our home and products fit his criteria, the air and the envrionment of most locations is a serious problem. It's a hell of a way to live.

Our alternative medicine doctor says he sees more and more people with our condition, and suspects that the toxicants are not so pervasive that just breathing the air over time is enough to make a person chronically ill with these problems.

I have to say I agree. We notice that the air is much worse that just a few years ago.
