The design team got the look of 1890s London beautifully.
Being an amateur student of Egyptology, I did catch a mistake, though. In the last season, an episode takes place backstage in a theater. Prominently displayed in the background of several scenes is a copy of the famous polychrome bust of Nefertiti.
This artifact wasn't to be discovered for another twenty or so years.
