1. I'm an old gal. I exercise because staying strong is important

I've been doing the same 40 min. low impact exercise routine using just one pound hand weights, 5 days per week for over a decade now. You don't need to kill yourself, just find a moderate exercise you like and stick to it.

Last year I had a 3.5 hour medical procedure under general anesthesia to fix a brain aneurysm that hadn't ruptured, thank God. A week later I attended my granddaughter's high school graduation. I credit my recovery with the exercise routine that keeps me strong. I'm hoping it keeps me out of a nursing home.
