8. I kept seeing these ads

You know the “stop doing endless hours of cardio, do this instead” but they don’t actually tell you what this is

So I decided to noodle around and see if I could figure it out. It’s High Intensity Interval Training and the basic idea is to raise your heart rate for a couple minutes and then let it drop down for a few more minutes and repeat. The one I remember now was to start at a jog for five minutes then alternate 5 minutes walking with two minutes running five or six times.

I was trying it until I hurt my knee in an unrelated dog park incident. It felt good and seems to help my blood pressure too. Time to get back to it
