1. I wish we could get a universal one here but that seems impossible.

Each state maintains their own vax records (At least you hope all states maintain records). New York has a good passport where you have to confirm vaccination with the state data base to get the passport. But if you weren't vaxxed in NY you can't use their system. So if I go into the City for an event I'll have to carry the original card. I don't see a solution.
