I just recently listening to the audio book version of Pure by Linda Kay Klein (mentioned in the article), and I found it fascinating. I was pleased to see that they interviewed her for this article. I think she probably knows more about purity culture and its damaging effects on women than just about anybody, after all the research she did for her book.

I especially love the way the article relates purity culture to the antiabortion movement. It didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but it explained how the two relate in a way that is not discussed nearly as often as I think it should be.
